Shri M.Venkatesh Murthy, Chief General Manager (Commercial Shipbuilding), joined GRSE on May 9, 2016. Shri Murthy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Mysore. Prior to joining GRSE, he was associated with BEML Limited where he had worked for more than 23 years, acquiring commendable industry experience.

Cmde Rajat Manchanda, IN (Retd.) joined GRSE on October 01, 2020 as Chief General Manager (Planning - SVL & ASWSWC). Commodore Rajat Manchanda holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru University, a Master Degree in Mechanical (Marine) from Pune University and a PGDMS from JBIMS, Mumbai. While joining the shipyard, he had more than 29 years of experience working with the Indian Navy. During his career in the Indian Navy, he has served on several IN Ships, including Taragiri, Godavari, and Jalashwa. He had also worked at Naval Dockyards in Mumbai and Visakhapatnam. Moreover, in addition to serving at Naval Headquarters, he has also worked as Warship Production Superintendent at a Goa Shipyard.

Cdr Bhaskar Sengupta, IN (Retd.), CGM (Corporate Planning, Corporate Communication & Business Development), joined GRSE on January 18, 2010. Commander Sengupta holds a Bachelor (Honours) Degree in Naval Architecture from IIT, Kharagpur, a Diploma in Naval Construction from IIT, Delhi and a Certificate in Master of Business Administration (Part Time) from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. He has worked with the Indian Navy as a Commander and had over 21 years of industry experience prior joining GRSE.

Captain(IN) P Sunilkumar (Retd.), CGM (Fitting Out Unit), joined GRSE in September, 2016, after completing nearly 22 years of 'Commissioned Service' in the Indian Navy, where he worked since November, 1994. He held various important operational and repair / maintenance positions in the Indian Navy whilst also heading the Engineering Department on board naval warships as well as serving in the Naval Dockyard. Captain P Sunilkumar is an alumnus of Naval College of Engineering and holds a B. Tech (Mechanical) Degree from JNU, New Delhi. He also holds a Masters Degree in 'Systems and Controls Engineering' from IIT Bombay and another in 'Defence & Strategic Studies' from Madras University. He is a qualified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and a Certified International Supply Chain Professional (CISCP) who has Diplomas in SCM and HRM.

Cmde Sreedharan is a seasoned Naval Architect, who comes with an industry experience of more than 28 years in Ship Design and Construction. During his career spanning over 26 years in the Indian Navy, Cmde Sreedharan had been associated with various prestigious capital ship design and construction projects, including, Destroyers and Indigenous Aircraft carriers, where he had worked in various capacities including that of a Project Director. Subsequently, after premature retirement from the Indian Navy, he has been heading the Central Design Office at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited, Kolkata, for nearly two years, and in doing so has been steering designs of various Naval, Coast Guard and Commercial shipbuilding projects both at National and International levels. Cmde Sreedharan also conceptualised and developed the design of a full electric passenger ferry, which is now being built for the Government of West Bengal.

At present, he is leading the ‘Innovation and New Technologies’ section of GRSE, while also steering the NGOPV project of the Indian Navy. Moreover, during his tenure at GRSE, he has also successfully steered collaborations with Educational Institutes, Start-ups and MSMEs to add cutting edge technologies and products, including Autonomous Vehicles (air borne, Surface and Sub Surface) and Green Energy vessels, to the shipyard’s product repertoire.

Cmde Sreedharan holds a B. Tech Degree in Naval Architecture and Ship Building from CUSAT and an M. Tech Degree in Ocean Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur. Besides, he also has Post Graduate Diplomas in Warship Construction from IIT Delhi, and in Management Studies from JBIMS, Mumbai. Moreover, he is an alumnus of the College of Naval Warfare of the Indian Navy. Notably, a regular contributor to various technical and policy related platforms; Cmde Sreedharan had the honour to be a speaker at the Indo Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD), 2021.

Commodore Indrajit Dasgupta, VSM (Veteran) joined the shipyard on March 01, 2023, as Chief General Manager (Ship Repairs & Deck Machinery Unit) and also as the Project Superintendent for the NSG-30mm Gun Project. He holds a B. Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering from JNU, an MSc Degree in Defence & Strategic Studies from Madras University and a Masters Degree in Management Studies from Osmania University. He is also an alumnus of National Defence College at Nairobi (Kenya) and is a recipient of the prestigious "Vishist Seva Medal" awarded by the President of India.

His 35 years in the Indian Navy includes a rich spectrum, spanning from Ship Repairs and Refits at both the major Dockyards of the Navy, Induction and Life Cycle management of Combat Systems at Naval Headquarters, Warship Design at the Navy's Warship Design Bureau to overseeing the construction of new naval platforms at Private and Public Sector Shipyards in Kolkata. During his successful professional career, Commodore Indrajit Dasgupta has served in various capacities on small and large ships and is well versed with the stringent build requirements on Warships for Equipment as well as Systems.

Cmde Vikas Kaushal, NM (Retd) is carrying out duties of Chief General Manager, PMT (P-17A) & ORV. Cmde Vikas Kaushal, completed his B Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Naval College of Engineering, INS Shivaji, Lonavla and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore. He also holds a Master's Degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from University of Madras (DSSC, Wellington). In addition, the Officer is also an alumnus of Naval War College at Goa.

During his career spanning over 32 years in the Indian Navy, in addition to carrying out appointments onboard Naval Warships, Dockyards and Staff, he has carried out duties of Defence Attaché at Kyiv (Ukraine), Commanding Officer INS Eksila (Visakhapatnam) and was holding the position of Commodore (Dock Yards) at Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) before taking premature retirement from the Indian Navy.

Cdr Bhubaneshwar Mishra, IN (Retd.), Chief General Manager (Tech & Projects) joined GRSE on January 17, 2013. He has an Engineering Degree from the Naval College of Engineering, Lonavala and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai in collaboration with college of Naval Warfare at Karanja. Prior to joining the shipyard, he was working with the Indian Navy.

Shri Sujoy Chakravorty, GM (Commercial), has been associated with GRSE since January, 2011. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University; a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Law from NUJS as well as a Diploma in Material Management. He has 33 years of industrial experience in wide-ranging commercial functions, including, Procurement, Contracts and Supply Chain Management, working with the likes of CESC Limited, Cummins India Limited, Tata Power Limited and GRSE.

Cmde. Vinith Aerat, IN (Retd.) joined GRSE on December 01, 2021. He holds a B. Tech Degree in Naval Architecture from Cochin University and an M. Tech Degree in Corrosion Engineering from IIT, Mumbai. Prior to joining GRSE, he had served the Indian Navy as a commissioned officer for 27 strong years. His work experience spans over various assignments in areas like warship design, shipbuilding, ship repair and associated policy formulations.

Smt. Lipi Das, an Economics graduate, and a topper in Personnel Management & Labour Welfare from The Utkal University, joined GRSE as Divisional Personnel Officer on March 01, 1997 and has since been heading the Internal Committee (erstwhile Internal Complaints Committee) on Prevention of Sexual Harassment.

Prior to joining GRSE, she worked as Senior Personnel Officer in Mining and Allied Machinery Corporation, Durgapur, a CPSU under Ministry of Heavy Industries. During her tenure, Lipi Das has been actively involved in creating a Computerized Management Information database and has handled various assignments in areas of Establishment, Manpower planning, Wage and Salary administration, Recruitment etc.

Smt. Das also possess a rich and diversified industry experience by working at various portfolios of Human Resource Management covering areas like Industrial Relations, Collective Bargaining, Employee relations, Addressing Industrial Disputes, Contract Labour Management, Welfare Activities, Corporate Social Responsibility, Canteen management, Salary and Wages, Unit HR activities, HR Policy formulation, Training & Development, Recruitment, General Administration Functions, Organizing events etc.

With more than 36 years of experience in the field of Personnel Management and Industrial Relations in the industrial belt of Durgapur and Metiabruz, Kolkata, known for active trade unionism, Lipi Das is a seasoned HR Officer under whose guidance the HR department of GRSE has been working seamlessly, which includes zero 'manday' loss due to trade union activities.

Smt. Aparajita Ghosh who joined the shipyard in October, 2014, holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce from University of Calcutta. She is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and is also a member of Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Smt. Ghosh joined GRSE with more than 30 years of experience in several firms and companies working in various fields of the Finance sector. Notably, she has worked in different capacities with M/S Bharat Electronics (BEL), a Navaratna PSU under Ministry of Defence, for a period of around 20 years.

Shri Natarajan Partheepan joined GRSE on December 01, 2012, with a commendable 30 years of work experience in Civil Engineering, particularly in the field of execution of EPC & Turnkey Contracts. He graduated from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. Shri Natarajan had earlier worked in important roles for a number of reputed Private Organizations to acquire his sound industry know-how.

Shri Sandeep Mahapatra is a Graduate in Law from Utkal University, Odisha and a Post Graduate in Commerce. Moreover, he is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and has diverse industry experience spanning over 27 years in the field of Secretarial and Legal, which he gained while working in CPSU, Multinational, as well as Private Sector Companies. His association with GRSE is also pretty long as he joined the shipyard way back in October, 2007 as a Company Secretary of the Company. Notably, his experience covers almost all areas of the Company Secretary division, including maiden IPO and Buy-back of shares.

Cdr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, IN (Retd.) joined GRSE in January, 2015 after completing nearly 23 years of 'Commissioned Service' in the Indian Navy. He holds a B. Tech Degree in Naval Architecture & Ship Building Technology from Cochin University of Science and Technology and a Diploma in Naval Construction from IIT, Delhi. His work experience includes working in various assignments in the field of ship shipbuilding, warship design, ship repair and associated policy formulation.

Shri Rajeev Shrivastava joined GRSE as General Manager (HR) on November 01, 2023. Shri Shrivastava completed his Secondary and Higher Secondary education from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bihar and went ahead to pursue his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics from Magadh University. Later he completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change, Patna, in the year 1996. Moreover, he also has an LLB Degree from Magadh University and has completed Senior Executive Development Programme from XLRI, Jamshedpur in the year 2023.

Prior to joining GRSE, Shri Shrivastava worked with industry behemoths like Tata Motors, ONGC Petro Addition Ltd, Mecon Ltd, Orissa Mineral Development Corporation Ltd and Pushon Chemicals Pvt Ltd.

He has more than 27 years of rich and diversified work experience in CPSUs, Joint Ventures & Private Sector Companies. His industry experience spans over almost all areas of HR, IR & ER functions including Policy Formulation, Recruitment, Establishment, Training & Development, Wage Settlement, Statutory Compliances, Contract Labour Management, Legal, Admin, CSR etc. He also had a brush with Quality Management while working in various leadership positions at varied geographical locations of the country.

Shri Sanjay Kumar holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce from University of Calcutta and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He has served M/S NHPC Ltd and M/S EPI Ltd, both public sector enterprises, before joining the shipyard in April 1995. He has more than 30 years of industry experience in the field of Finance and Accounts and has worked in various sections of the Finance Department during his association with the company. Presently, Shri Sanjay Kumar is heading Treasury functions of the Finance Department.

Shri Singh Joined GRSE on April 30, 1991 and has an experience of nearly 29 years with the shipyard. He started his career in GRSE at the Technical & Development Department at DEP, Ranchi and was transferred to the Product & Service Department in August, 1993. At present, he is discharging the duties as a Unit In-charge of DEP, Ranchi.

Cdr Jha commenced his professional career as a Commissioned Officer in the Electrical Branch of the Indian Navy where he served with distinction for 22 years in various capacities before taking up voluntary retirement in August, 2016. During his career with the Indian Navy he served as the Electrical Officer onboard frontline Warships of the Indian Navy and had successfully completed many missions. His shore appointments included leadership roles in Operations at Command/ Naval HQs, Naval Dockyard, Mumbai, as well as in Fleet Testing and Tuning Team, Visakhapatnam.

Subsequent to his voluntary retirement from the Indian Navy in August, 2016, Cdr Jha joined GRSE. At present, he is assigned with the role of Additional General Manager-in-Charge of Raja Bagan Dockyard spread over 33 Acres to oversee the outfitting of various under construction warships along with augmentation of vital infrastructure pertaining to ship building capabilities of GRSE.

Shri Manas Kumar Pandey joined GRSE in 2007 and has since held various key positions, demonstrating leadership and project management skills. In 2021, he became AGM (MW) at the Main Works wing of the shipyard, and in 2024, he took up the responsibilities of AGM I/C (MW), Occupier, and Production In-Charge in the Main Unit of GRSE.

Cdr. Harish Kumar, IN (Retd.) is working as the Additional General Manager in GRSE Delhi office. He was associated with the Indian Navy for 22 long years before joining GRSE in October, 2010.

Cdr Rajneesh Kumar, IN (Retd), AGM RO Mumbai joined GRSE on December 01, 2021. He holds a B.SC Degree from National Defence Academy, a B. Tech degree from Naval College of Engineering, an M. Tech degree from IIT Bombay and a PGDM from Jamna Lal Bajaj, Mumbai. He had a work experience of 25 years with the Indian Navy while joining GRSE. Cdr Rajneesh Kumar’s experience with the Navy includes working as Senior Manager at Naval Dockyard Mumbai, Cdr E of the Aircraft Carrier INS Viraat, Joint Director at DND (SSG) for IAC (P-71) Project, Project officer P-15B at WOT (Mumbai) and Joint Controller of Material Planning at MO(MB).
