On 01 Dec 18, At the time of administering oath by CMD, all the Functional Directors, CVO, all senior executives, officers and other category of employees were present. In other units, Swachhta pledge was administered by the respective Unit-in-Charges on the day.
On 01 Dec 18, A cleanliness drive was carried out in and around the ‘Bichali ghat bus stand’ near the Corporate Office where Chairman & Managing Director, all Functional Directors and other Senior Officials took part in cleaning the area. The CISF personnel of GRSE unit also participated in the Swachhta Pakhwada event.
A seminar was organized on 06 Dec 18 on cleanliness, efficient disposal of waste, effluent treatment etc. under the provisions of The Factories Act 1948. Ex- Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories, Govt. of West Bengal was invited to deliberate on the issue. The session was attended by the Works Managers, Officers from Production, Safety, HR and other related Departments.
An Inter School painting competition was organized on 10 Dec 18 to spread awareness about benefits of cleanliness and hygiene. Students from 08 schools spread over an area of about 10-15 km. participated in the competition. In addition to 10 prize winners of two categories of student, consolation prizes were given to all the participants. General Manager (HR&A) and Additional General Manager (HR&IR) gave away the prizes to the winners.
A ‘Swachhta Shramdan’ programme was carried out on 12 Dec 18 by cleaning the premises of Satghara High Madrasah school. GRSE employees along with school students took part in the cleaning activity.
To generate more ideas regarding effective ways of sustainable cleanliness, a lively debate competition was conducted on 12 Dec 18 for employees. The topic of debate competition was “Swachhta - A responsibility of Government”. The debate was conducted in three languages i.e. English, Hindi and Bengali.
As a part of Swachhta Pakhwada, tree plantation programme was organized on 13 Dec 18 at Main unit where Chairman & Managing Director, all Functional Directors, Chief Vigilance Officer and other employees took part.
